Zen Brush allows us to better understand how dualism effects our day-to-day life. In our linear trained minds there are separate objects: The brush, the paper, the ink and you (referred to as the Four Treasures). When all brought together we attempt to control all elements to achieve an outcome. Yet in Zen brush it becomes necessary to experience all the elements as a unified expression of the Tao.
Zen Brush is an opportunity to directly understand the essential flow of all experience. When brush, ink, paper and you all relate in unity, the result will be the working of the Tao: That from which all arises and that to which all returns.
We do not engage the Zen Brush for a particular outcome, rather a deepening of the experience of our true nature. A nature that is the expression of the essential Being. If we understand that all things come from and return to the same source, we can genuinely harmonize with all things. From our work with the Zen Brush we will see clearly that every interaction, relationship, experience is merely a brush stroke. How we relate with the Four Treasures is an indication as to how we relate with other areas of our lives! Much can be learned!
